After making the decision to start my own business, I jumped straight into an avalanche of learning. It is hard to believe what a big wide world awaited me after an eternity of “towing the line”.
So many options, so many programs to learn, the minefield of social media and SEO.
I found myself jumping around enrolling in course after course, effectively becoming a candidate as a serial e-course junky.
Time to step back and take stock.
Enthusiasm aside, it can be very overwhelming to put too much information into one brain without giving said brain time to absorb it and put the lessons learned into practice.
There was also the small detail, that I had never run a business before, let alone my own.
Time to find my tribe, my bunch of “likeminded people” where I could be supported to learn and prosper.
As the universe often does, it provided an opportunity to insert this piece of my puzzle in the form of the HerBusiness network. A group of amazing businesswomen who are headed in the same general direction as me.
The way that the business operates is structured and professional, providing a myriad of opportunity for networking, growth and learning. From podcasts to webinars, business summits, networking opportunities, Facebook groups, to written material and relevant reading, its all there – at last, my ultimate SHINY OBJECT 😊
The moral of this story is that you don’t know what you don’t know but in order to be successful you really do need to find out – and the sooner the better.
